We strongly recommend replacing both tweeters at the same time. Fitting a pair helps ensure that both speakers have the same appearance and consistent sound performance.
⚠️ IMPORTANT – Before Installation
Before opening the original tweeter, carefully mark the position of the two tweeter components.
The parts fit together in a specific orientation. Marking their position before disassembly will make reassembly much easier and help prevent incorrect installation.
Tools Required
You will need:
Small to medium Phillips screwdriver
Small to medium flat-head screwdriver
Soldering iron and solder
A small amount of super glue
Cotton bud
Installation
Installation requires a steady hand, patience and basic DIY/electronics skills.
Before applying any glue, make sure that the replacement parts fit correctly and that everything is properly aligned. Do not glue the parts until you are completely satisfied with the fit and alignment.
These replacement tweeter coils & foils may also be suitable for some Quad loudspeaker models. Please check compatibility carefully before ordering.
